Elon Musk has been asked over a hundred times about using hydrogen as an energy source. Will he ever back down on his stance that “hydrogen is silly?”

Elon Musk is a rich man that says a lot of words, and sometimes those words can come back to haunt him. In this case, it is everything he has said to downplay the role of hydrogen as a viable source of renewable energy.

According to Interesting Engineering, Elon Musk was asked in a recent interview (yet again) about his thoughts about using hydrogen as a renewable source of energy.

His response to the question:

“No,” he replied. “I really can’t emphasize this enough — the number of times I’ve been asked about hydrogen, it might be … it’s well over 100 times, maybe 200 times,” he said. “It’s important to understand that if you want a means of energy storage, hydrogen is a bad choice.” — Elon Musk, Tesla CEO (Source: Interesting Engineering)

If he has told you once, he has told you 1,000 times: “Hydrogen is silly.”
