Miami Heat Honors Dwayne Wade with a Statue and Fans Wonder Why it ‘Doesn’t Look Like Him’
One of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history was honored by the Miami Heat by receiving a statue on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Kaseya Center.
Former NBA superstar Dwayne Wayne was honored on Sunday, October 27 with a statue intended to look like him unveiled outside of Kaseya Center.
The unveiling of the statue was posted online.
Dwayne Wade Fans Are Not Sold on the Statue
Fans were quick to notice that the head of the statue did not resemble Dwayne Wade.
The Miami Heat’s social media received many messages from upset fans.
One fan wrote:
“His face needs to be fixed. Love the honor it represents but please, rework the face, it looks nothing like him.”
Another fan wrote: “Love it that Wade now has his statue but sad that it doesn’t even look like him, not even close.”
