Water.org reports that 1 out of 10 people in the world don’t have access to safe water, which equates to 771 million people.
This number disproportionately affects people in impoverished countries, where “nearly one million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related diseases which could be reduced with access to safe water or sanitation.” (Source: Water.org)
